Babies & young children
Lubuto Libraries not only offer storytime, engaging books and fun games to support children and babies, but also some key programs to ensure that they become passionate lifelong learners.
Lubuto’s family literacy programming was introduced to not only provide an opportunity for young mothers to learn how to read, but to provide enriching early childhood programs based on the Zambian national syllabus. The early childhood program utilizes books, games, songs, rhymes and play to engage children in early learning, and is inclusive of children with disabilities (both physical and intellectual).
In 2019 we will create the first Lubuto model early learning centers that promote cognitive development from birth at the Comboni American Youth Library and the Model Library.
