Children with disabilities

Lubuto Library programs are designed to serve all children and youth. Special programs are developed to accommodate young people with both physical and learning disabilities

Lubuto Libraries are constantly looking to expand their offerings for children with disabilities, but current programs and resources include:

• Digital literacy programming and technology focused on blind and visually impaired youth

• Staff and community trainings to better address disabilities

• Buildings accessible to children with limited mobility

• Book collections including titles about children with disabilities, many with the aim of spreading awareness and developing positive attitudes towards people with disabilities
