Jane Meyers Receives 2012 John Ames Humphry / OCLC / Forest Press Award

ALA News, 12 June 2012. Lubuto’s president Jane Kinney Meyers is the 2012 recipient of the American Library Association’s 2012 John Ames Humphry / OCLC / Forest Press Award. The annual award is given to a librarian who has made significant contributions to international librarianship throughout their career. ALA’s announcement of the award, which recognizes Jane’s “advancement of libraries, librarianship, literacy and international understanding as a librarian, a teacher, a consultant and an administrator,” states that her “culminating achievement is the establishment of the Lubuto Library Project, a model of sustainable library development and innovation.”
